Cet ensemble de 6 autoportraits a été réalisé à la suite, en une seule prise sans recadrage avec le miroir. Chaque autoportrait en auteur, au visage masqué par l’appareil, s’inspire librement d’un peintre, allant de la naissance du naturalisme avec la peinture à l’huile vers 1430 à l’arrivée de la photographie vers 1830.
This series of six self-portraits was created in succession, each taken in a single shot without cropping, using a mirror. Each self-portrait, in which the artist’s face is obscured by the camera, is loosely inspired by a painter, ranging from the birth of naturalism in oil painting around 1430 to the advent of photography around 1830.
